It’s part of Grant Instruments’ dry block heater family, used widely in molecular biology, biochemistry and general lab work for consistent incubations or reactions in tubes

A dry bath / heat block heater that provides precise, stable heating for tubes (especially 1.5 mL Eppendorf-style tubes), without using water or oil baths. The heat is delivered through a removable aluminium block tuned to fit a specific tube format — in this case typically 24×1.5 mL tubes
