Biorad Variant 11 Hemoglobin testing system

The Bio-Rad VARIANT II is a high-volume, fully automated hemoglobin testing system. It is primarily used in clinical laboratories to measure HbA1c for diabetes monitoring and to detect -thalassemia and other hemoglobin disorders

Automated Sampling: It accepts barcoded primary specimen tubes directly, eliminating the need for manual sample preparation.

Multi-Analyte Testing: It can switch between different testing methods, such as a 3.5-minute program for HbA1c and a 6.5-minute program for thalassemia.

Variant Detection: It is designed to provide accurate results even in the presence of common hemoglobin variants like HbS, HbC, HbD, and HbE.

Data Management: Results and chromatograms are managed through Bio-Rad’s Clinical Data Management (CDM) software, which can interface with a lab's information system (LIS) for real-time reporting.
